Terms of Use
1. Platform role
PaperPlane provides online tools for creators and independent professionals to discover each other, publish gigs and profiles, communicate and manage applications. Unless a separate written agreement says otherwise, PaperPlane is not a party to the underlying creator-freelancer contract and does not guarantee the quality, legality, availability or completion of a user's work.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You must provide accurate information, keep credentials secure and not create accounts for another person without permission.
3. User content
You are responsible for content you upload or publish. You must have the rights and permissions needed for portfolio work, images, video, text, trademarks and other material. Do not upload unlawful, deceptive, infringing, abusive, sexually exploitative, privacy-invasive or malicious material.
4. Prohibited conduct
- Fraud, impersonation, account takeover or credential sharing.
- Spam, malware, phishing, unlawful solicitation or attempts to evade platform security.
- Misleading claims about experience, reviews, identity, pricing or outcomes.
- Publishing another person's personal data without a lawful basis or permission.
- Using PaperPlane to arrange unlawful services or transactions.
5. Reviews and ratings
Reviews must reflect genuine completed work. Fake, paid-for or coordinated reviews intended to mislead users are prohibited. PaperPlane may remove or restrict content that violates these terms or applicable law.
6. Payments and contracts
Unless a PaperPlane payment feature is expressly enabled and covered by separate terms, payment arrangements are between the parties. Users should agree on scope, price, deadlines, revisions, taxes and cancellation terms before starting work.
7. Reports and enforcement
Users can report content, accounts, privacy issues, fraud, copyright concerns and safety issues. PaperPlane may investigate, restrict, remove or suspend accounts where justified by these Terms, safety requirements or applicable law.
8. Consumer protection
Where PaperPlane falls within applicable e-commerce/marketplace rules, required seller/service information, grievance handling and consumer disclosures will be provided. The Department of Consumer Affairs publishes the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 and related amendments/guidance.
9. Changes
Material changes to these Terms will be communicated through the service or other legally appropriate means.
